The March of the Pori Regiment - Porilaisten Marssi

The March of the Pori Regiment (The Pori March) has been the official march of the Finnish Defence Forces since 1918. The exact origins of the march are unknown but it was propably composed by Christian Fredric Kressin. It was arranged for brass band under its present name by the military bandmaster Conrad Greve. The words were originally by Topelius; the later version is by Runeberg. http://fi.wikipedia.org/wiki/Porilaisten_marssi Updated information: This recording is an ARRANGEMENT of the Kress's original composition by the pre-eminent Finnish composer/conductor Kajanus. It is from a CD called "Finlandia: A Festival of Finnish music" produced by Sweden's BIS lable. In this recording, we hear the Sinfonia Lahti conducted by Osmo Vänskä.

there is no recording of "napoleon's march", I toough I made this very clear, there is only one march, composed by Kress, and one of it's many names in early 19th century was 'Napoleon's march', this is direct quote from Wikipedia, if you think it's not reliable, prove that article has it wrong;

"Alun perin urkuri Kress oli nimennyt marssin nuotteihin nimeksi March maeostoso, 'majesteetillinen marssi', ja nimen Porilaisten marssi sävelmä sai vasta 1850-luvulla. 1800-luvun alussa marssia oli kutsuttu myös Napoleonin marssiksi, Bonaparten marssi ja nimellä Bonaparte Egyptissä. Porilaisten marssi sai nimensä vuonna 1851 jolloin se esitettiin Suomen sotaa kuvanneessa musiikkinäytelmässä Döbeln Lapuan tappelussa-kohtauksessa."

and it would be nice to me to know why this is rated as poor comment, 'cause it is FACT that this march was called 'Napoleon's march' in early 19th century, and I already said that I was mistaken when taking it's name literally.

ei se enään ole sotaa samalla lailla kun ennen,pakkasta oli talvisin -40 astetta ja metri lunta.Ja ei tänäpäivänä enään sodita edes itsenäisyydestä,vaan jostain ihan muusta

Tollaisessa sodassa ne miehet katottiin vittun nykyään pistetään pari tankkia riehumaan kaupunkiin ja painetaan ydinase nappulaa onko se muka sotaa!nykyajan sota on kyllä ihan hirmusen persuksista

Sota on aina perseestä. Kunnian kentillä ei haluta kuolla taisteltiin ohjuksin tai kiväärein.

toisin oli 300 vuotta sitten vaikka tykit olivat jo tulleet, sovitiin paikka jossa taistelu sitten käytiin kunnialla loppun paitsi jenkkien patriootit jotka painu karkuun loppu vaiheessa
