Backhttp://www.pbs.org/wnet/gperf/shows/peterandwolf/index.html "Peter & the Wolf," an Oscar-winning film, airs March 26 on PBS' GREAT PERFORMANCES series. (check local listings) Sergei Prokofiev's fanciful musical tale, Peter and the Wolf, is given new life in this innovative animated interpretation. Conceived and directed by award-winning animator Suzie Templeton, this modern-day "Peter & the Wolf" uses stop-frame model animation, puppets and digital photography to re-tell the enduring classic, and features the Philharmonia Orchestra under the direction of Mark Stephenson performing Prokofiev's beloved score. This video clip takes you behind-the-scenes to check out the post-production of Peter & the Wolf with director Suzie Templeton. GREAT PERFORMANCES is produced for PBS by Thirteen/WNET New York. What would you call this type of animation? I used to love watching similar animations that where in Gaelic and German when I was young. They were mainly fairytales. Does anyone know what I mean? And does anyone know where I could find them? I'd love to see them again.

I saw it on March 26 too! It was so captivating. I couldn't tear myself away. It's so well-made and I love the detail and attention put into the puppets. I love Peter's eyes too.
