Malcolm X - Ballot or Bullet

Back

"The Ballot or The Bullet" was a speech by Malcolm X mostly about black nationalism delivered April 12, 1964 in Detroit, Michigan. This speech is in the public domain and can be found at http://www.americanrhetoric.com/speeches/malcolmxballotorbullet.htm Originally obtained from the Vincent Voice Library at Michigan State University. Note: I had set up the video response to be by my approval, just to weed out any spam. However, in the time this video has been up, I've gotten a few responses, none of which were spam, and yet youtube won't give me the option to allow them. So I've set it up for automatic approval, hopefully that will work. If you've submitted a video response before and it didn't go through, try again.

Same group? That doesnt matter, it was for the same reasons. To silence the people that "We the People" refers to. And if you believe that James Earl Ray, Sirhan Sirhan or Lee Harvey Oswald were alone in their actions, whatever group responsible has succeeded. We know Talmadge Hayer wasnt alone.

hilarious he laughs at them and calls them chumps, uncle toms, and other things and they just laugh, cheer, and yell "thats riight!" and uhhhh huh. the problem is malcolm x was great at identifying the problem and summarizing why its wrong but as is often the case, the specifics of what individual people can do weren't there. yeah they all know something's wrong but malcolm never told them what to do!

he wasnt talking about the blacks in the crowd he was talkin about the upper class bougeois blacks and middle class that were beggin for jobs from the racist cracker in the south instead of begging these crackers for jobs we need to create businesses for blacks
