Williams StarGate Arcade Game 1981

Back

I once watched my friend Chris ('Kit') play this game for 3 hours on 1 quarter. He actually went outside the arcade, had a smoke and returned to still have scores of ships left!

Back in the days I used to play this game. I would spend 25 cents and could literally stay on the machine as long as I wanted to. It was great fun. I do admit I did spend my share of quarters to get that good.

Awesome game on an awesome game! Hard to believe this was made in 1981! The sweet 1980's games! One of the best ever - still beats the hell out of most video games from the last 20 years. Beautiful!

Very cool memories! I used to have this on my Acorn Electron. Between this and Elite I hate to think how many hours I happily lost :)

Ah, Edison Lanes, Edison, NJ, 1981-2. What memories that brought back! Spending entire rainy Saturdays running the machine with my buddy. Not exactly glory days, but good memories nonetheless! Thanks.

It felt as though I was back in '81,those familiar sounds.I still recall playing for about 8 hours and breaking the 10 million mark, but the level of difficulty was a little easier than normal as you fellow old school gamers remember-but still(10 million)!!!

Aah yes brings back memories for sure! 50 cents play the game for hours and hours. Never broke 2 million though. :( Odd how it was renamed to Defender 2 for me cause I never liked Defender! :P
