I'm not exactly sure what you are getting at the influence that the hippie movement had on this time of music is very minimal in comparison to how much influence it's had on music in general . . . and just in case your weren't aware the hippie movement has been dead since about 1969 with Altemont no matter what your dead beat uncle that still wears tie-dye and smokes weed well in to his 50s tells you . . .

to get offended is to be totally ignorant of course there is no way that I could have known anything about you uncle I was only being sarcastic. the point is the hippy movement has been dead for a long time and if it wasn't altemont or kent state that killed it it's at least been dead since Garcia died in 95 and so if the movement is dead then we obviously can't be calling people hippies anymore especially not young cats
