Zeng Jinyan and her nearly 3-month-old baby remain trapped at home with all communication to the outside world cut off. It is unknown whether they have anything to eat. Bloggers and petitioners have tried as recently as this week to bring food to Zeng's door but were not only denied entry, the food and supplies were not delivered, according to the state agents themselves. Last month one blogger sent Zeng a parcel of milk formula, but it was intercepted by police. Journalist Ching Cheong has been released two years early on a five-year sentence for "spying"; great news in itself, now how about reversing the politicized charges against Hu Jia and numerous others. 1936 the olympic games took place in berin, these times germany was ruled by adolf hitler, i suppose everybody knows that name... the nazis tried to look like friendly normal people, and as soon as the olympic games were over, the oppression of homosexuals, jews, roma, sinti, you name it, started again.. now, 2008 the chinese gov. tries to represent itself as peaceful, but the games are overshadowed by all these events.. do you see the parallels? i do..

I don't understand what make you western people or people living in the west makes you feel you know more about China than the Chinese. Why don't you ask why this guy receives such treatment. He deserves it. There are thousands of alternative ways to express your view and you can do it freely in China, he chose to be in that sensational way. Perhaps that will cater to the needs in the west, but no one feels sympathetic about him here in China.

yeah but how much shit have people been able to change because of the freedoms we enjoy. the change is not always immediate but it happens eventually. the only thing evil needs to succeed is for good men to stand by and do nothing.change most start somewhere even if it is a comment. thank god for internet and you tube. nothing is perfect and politicians do not run governments out of the kindness of their hearts.
