I love Bernstien. He manages to be expressive even though he is not playing in the orchestra. I wish my teacher had conducted like that.

Bernstein was a fun conductor to watch!! I sure remember playing it for community college band and I liked the piece a lot.

haha. we used this music for our marching band show a few years ago in high school. the arranger some how incorporated an oboe solo and an oboe and bassoon duet though

Someone said that Bugs Bunny's style of conducting was based on Bernstein's--makes a whole lot of sense though.
