Fox news and conservatives had a shitstorm after Wesley Clark said what he said. But he was exactly right. Getting shot down and held prisoner does not equal foreign policy experience, anymore than being shot during a robbery qualify you to be a Chief of Police. Does it make him a brave man who's been through a lot? Certainly. Should we make him President because of it? Well, not on that basis, no. You need better reasons than that we feel bad for his luck during war.

How dare you compare someone shot during a robbery (and I hope you were referring to the cop, not the robber) to a prisoner of war!!!! And Obama's supporters present themselves as the educated ones. You don't know anything! My father was a prisoner of war for four years. He should not be criticized for that. You're right, being a POW alone does not qualify him to be President but that shows his strength of character, his patriotism. Why don't you tell us about Obama's foreign policy experience.

I dare anything I want, frankly. I don't invalidate anyone's suffering, McCain's or your dad, but there are many patriotic people of character, and McCain is trying to trade on his suffering that it means he should be president. He also admits he doesn't know much about the economy but has Gramm to advise him (nation of whiners?) and never bothered to take part in his own committee's hearings on Afghanistan. You know, the place where Bin Laden is hiding? McCain is going to lose, big time.

There is a difference between quitting and winning. I don't remember McCain using the word endless. We are not at war with Germany but we have military presence there, like many other countries.

Kerry served in Vietnam four months, then joined Jane Fonda in protesting the war, and insulted returning Vietnam vets, claiming they committed atrocities and were baby killers. Kerry threw his medals and ribbons away in protest. His book "Vietnam Veterans Against the War: The New Soldier", shows how he truly feels about the military.

Kerry returned from the war to lead protests, denigrate our flag, mock anticommunists, and call his fellow veterans "criminals" before a congressional committee. Kerry was famous for wearing tattered fatigues that mocked the US uniform, carrying an upside-down US flag that dishonored Old Glory, and disposing of his medals by throwing them over the White House fence.
