Saw the Boston Ballet in 81 do it according to the original instructions. This seems childish by comparison.
Great dancers. But there's precious little or no meaning to the dance relative to the music's meaning.
Arrrgh.

Its not a tune change its still Carmina Burana. You should listen to the entire thing the original version its about an hour and a half long, or so.

What is the title of the second movement they dance to in this video? The movement after "O Fortuna"?

brilliant. coreographing dance to orff! exceptionally difficult due to the mixed meter.

Dear Bota. Part 2: All this may ring a bell to you. Maybe ??? The sad truth is that I haven't been able to find that version again. I have looked everywhere. No way. Of course, I wanted the video (movie) of the whole opera. I have the CD, I've watched many "modern" versions (with no decors at all) like the one you performed. The dancing is very good but thhe stage is too "naked"; something's really missing as compared to the old Munich interpretation. If you have any clue, I'll be grateful

Dear Bota. Part1: When I said "a few years ago", I wasn't accurate. I can't remember the exact year; it was long before 94. I watched the whole opera on TV. It was performed by the Munich Orchestra and Ballet. The staging was tremendous, the decors out of this world, and the performance simply outstanding. The whole of it wasn't made in a modern, sober way. They had recreated a 13th century atmosphere. with the proper decors and costumes. It even looked "orgiac" at times.
