Eddie Cochran and The Who only took "a two-week vacation". Blue Cheer took "three weeks".

Those drums sound like an army marching through town.

I remember this tune being played on pop radio and I thouhgt it sounded pretty groovy so bought the LP. I don't think the DJs had a clue whose music they were playing. I was in college at the time. It was the year of Sgt. Pepper and the transition to acid rock from the earlier stuff. I was a Blue Cheer fan.

You know Roll over Beethoven? Well, this is roll over Eddie! The DEFINITIVE Summertime Blues. Forty years on and you can still feel the electricity, and see the sparks.

As Pete Townsend said of the song (that he also covered with The Who): "There's no cure because there's no such thing."
Eddie Cochran's original is cookin', too.
